最近、仕事で幼い印象の音楽と向き合う機会が続きました。
くりかえされるメロディや、過剰な感情と、ムリに異世界を表現しようとする歌詞。
自分には、なじめないその世界がしばらく頭の中でぐるぐるとまわってちょっと疲れていました。
こんなことを言っても仕方ないんですけどね。なのでボサノバを聞いて落ち着かせました。
ボサノバで気持ちを整える
ボサノバは世界的に知られているジャンルです。
時々カフェなどのオシャレ空間で、BGMとして流れているしファッション性も高いと思います。しかし本場、ブラジルのリオデジャネイロでも「若者が好む音楽か？」と言うと、そうではないのだそうです。
ちょっと意外・・
彼らもやはり流行りの音楽が好きらしい。もしかしたらブラジル人よりも、他の国の人の方が演奏しているのかも知れませんね。
前回は、ボサノバと言ったら『アントニオ・カルロス・ジョビン』としてブログに載せました。
今回は、別のアーティストを紹介しますね。
『リアナ フローレス』（ブリティッシュ ブラジリアン）
ジャンルは、ボサノバ、ジャズ、ポップス（ジャズポップというらしい）など色々歌ってる歌手です。
個人的には民俗調が強くあらわれるものが好き。そして、強すぎないもの。懐かしさがあるもの。
しかも押し付けがましくないからリアナの歌はすごくいいですよ。

ボサノバ練習
「ディサフィナード」
調子がはずれていることの意味。要するに音痴。それよりも心。
そういえば、アントニオ・カルロス・ジョビンも割と音をはずして歌っていたな。
私の練習法は、伴奏だけを弾くスタイルです。
なかなか難しいですけど、興味がある方はぜひ弾いてみてください。
最近の活動
以前のブログで、なぜテーマを「ほのぼの」にしたのかを書きました。
今日はちょっと付け足しします。
「癒し系」ではあるけれど、子どもっぽくならないように。
クラシックをベースに、いくつかの技法を使って、音の流れを組み立てています。
たとえば、こんな工夫です。

モチーフ展開
シンプルなフレーズを繰り返しながら、少しずつ変化させる。 -
フーガ
同じモチーフが、少し遅れて別の声部に現れたり、変化しながら重なっていく。

オブリガート（対旋律）
主旋律とは別に、独立した旋律を重ねて、会話の感じに。 -
バウンス感のあるリズム
シャッフルやラテン、マーチの要素を加えて、リズムに自然な揺れや跳ねを入れて楽しく。
そしてクラシック作品からもインスピレーションを受けています。

チャイコフスキー《くるみ割り人形》より「金平糖の踊り」
チェレスタの甘い響きが、曲作りのきっかけになりました。（全曲大好きで今でも聴いています） -
プロコフィエフ《ピーターと狼》
物語と音楽がリンクする楽しさ。音によるキャラクター描写が印象的です。 -
サン＝サーンス《動物の謝肉祭》
ユーモアがいっぱい。ひとつひとつの楽章に個性があって、展開のヒントになりました。特に、水族館、化石、ピアニスト、そしてあの優雅な白鳥。
知っている曲はありましたか？
バイオリンやビオラを入れて少しクラシカルな印象に仕上げたいと思うのですが、良い音が見つからずにいます。見つかってもすごく高額だから。
ということで、ほのぼのはクラシックがベースです。
登録者は約15000人ですが、どうやら定量。もう増えません。
元々登録者10万のインフルエンサーを目指したりはしていなかったので、特に問題はないです。
その代わりアルバム配信の再生を増やしていきたいと思います。
ということで、終わりたいと思いますが、次回は考え中。

English Version/ Bossa Nova and When I Get Tired of Music
Recently, I felt a little tired.
I had to work with music that sounded very childish.
The melodies repeat again and again.
The emotions are too strong.
The lyrics try too hard to show a fantasy world.
This kind of music is not comfortable for me.
It stayed in my head for a while and made me tired.
Of course, I know I cannot change it.
So, I listened to bossa nova to feel better.
Bossa Nova
Bossa nova is a music style known all over the world.
You can often hear it in cafes or stylish shops.
It sounds calm and fashionable.
But in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil (the home of bossa nova),
young people do not listen to it very much.
That was surprising to me.
Maybe people outside Brazil play bossa nova more than Brazilians do.
Liana Flores (British–Brazilian)
Last time, I wrote about Antonio Carlos Jobim, a famous bossa nova artist.
This time, I want to share a different singer: Liana Flores.
She is British and Brazilian.
She sings in styles like bossa nova, jazz, and pop. (This is sometimes called jazz pop.)
I like songs that feel natural and have a folk style.
But not too strong. I also like music that feels a little nostalgic.
Liana’s music is calm and soft. That’s why I enjoy it.
She doesn’t try too hard to show her feelings.
Some of her songs are in 3/4 time, and her videos look retro. I want to try something like that too.

Practicing Bossa Nova
One bossa nova song I like is “Desafinado.”
This word means “out of tune” or “off key.” In other words, tone-deaf.
But the song is not about singing perfectly.
It’s more about the feeling and the heart.
Jobim also sometimes sang out of tune, and that was okay.
When I practice, I play only the accompaniment.
I don’t sing, but I imagine the melody in my mind.
I focus on the rhythm and harmony.
Recent Work
Before, I wrote about why I chose the theme “honobono”, which means soft and heartwarming.
Today, I want to add more about my music style.
My music is peaceful, but I try not to make it sound childish.
I use classical music ideas to build the structure.
Some of my methods:

Motif development
I take a short melody and repeat it with small changes. -
Fugue-like structure
One melody starts, and later, another part plays the same melody, like a musical conversation. This makes the music feel deeper. -
Countermelody (Obbligato)
A second melody is added with the main one. It moves independently, like a gentle dialogue. -
Bouncy rhythm
I sometimes use rhythms from shuffle, Latin music, or marches to add a soft groove.
I also get inspiration from classical music:

Tchaikovsky – “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” (The Nutcracker)
The bell-like sound of the celesta gave me the idea to start composing.
I still love the whole piece. -
Prokofiev – Peter and the Wolf
I enjoy how the story and music work together.
Each character has its own instrument and melody. -
Saint-Saëns – The Carnival of the Animals
This work has humor and character.
I especially like Aquarium, Fossils, Pianists, and The Swan.
Do you know any of these pieces?
I want to add violin or viola sounds to my music.
This would make it feel a bit more classical.
But good sounds are expensive and hard to find.
So for now, I continue to make honobono music based on classical roots.
My YouTube channel has about 15,000 subscribers.
It has not been growing much recently. But that’s okay.
I never aimed to be a big influencer with 100,000 followers.
Instead, I want more people to listen to my albums.
