English Ver.Work, Freedom, and Daily Life with Okinawa Sounds
These days, it feels like fewer people care deeply about their job or workplace. With remote work becoming more common, comments like “I already told you that” or “You can’t survive like this” don’t seem to matter as much. People can just think, “Well, I don’t need to stay here,” and say, “Goodbye.”
I don’t know much about how companies work, but I wonder if people understand whether their job is for the company, for society, or just for a paycheck. If it doesn’t help anyone, then what’s the point?
When I work, I want to know who I’m doing it for. If I don’t know that, it’s hard to feel motivated.
As for me, I don’t deliver my work to anyone in particular, so I don’t have deadlines. Many freelancers have to live chasing deadlines, but I don’t even have that.
It’s a bit strange, but it feels easy and free.
For my personality, freedom is essential for working, so this style suits me perfectly.
A Short Song Using the Okinawan Scale
This time, I created a short piece using the Okinawan scale. There’s no strict rule that you must use only these notes—feel free to “cook” them in your own way. If you use too many of the scale’s notes, it might feel repetitive, so subtlety is the key.
Around this time last year, I was in Okinawa. It was such a lovely trip. If you’re curious, you can check out my travel blog here:

A Day Out After a Long Winter
Today, I went outside because the snow on the roads had melted. Nothing special happened, but I strolled around the town, went shopping, and tried some street food.
The weather was rain mixed with snow, with a high of 5°C. Usually, it’s freezing cold around this time, but this year feels warmer—well, relatively speaking.
I bought some aroma oil from Daiso. I picked “Kinmokusei” (fragrant olive), and surprisingly, it smells quite nice.
It doesn’t have a strong scent, but I love the tiny crackling sound it makes when it burns.
I didn’t buy much, but I had fun. Tomorrow, I’ll focus on creating music with renewed energy!
